Hi,

I don't exactly know what is your local problem with python2. You don't
even bother to describe your installation. (as usual from you)

Please expect this getmail package to be EOLed after buster (=Bullseye)

* Debian is moving to python3 only after buster
* Upstream of getmail hasn't move to python3.
* No one so far created python3 version of getmail.
* If you are using testing now, getmail will not work soon on Bullseye.
* getmaul will be dropped soon

Best regards,

Osamu
