Dear Maintainer, the youtube-dl project seams to have died. There was no new release since 6/6/2021 The last commit was on 1 of Jully. This delay is very long for this project. A partial solution for downloading age restricted videos from youtube was found, but it still isn't implemented. It doesn't seam to be a legal threat. The devs haven't given any statement. It seams unlikely that it will come back to life. People seam to be moving to the yt-dlp fork. https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp The proposed solution: is to package and backport yt-dlp and wait a little longer before completly replacing youtube-dl with yt-dlp
