I never use script myself, so I do not know very much about it. You
have pointed out that this is an upstream change. I could not find
much upstream discussion about the change, but supposedly upstream
had some thoughts why this was changed.
Please talk to upstream directly [1], maybe ask if they can reinstate
the script name logging. Probably makes sense to explain your
usecase exactly.
Would be great if you could follow up with a link to the resulting
upstream discussion.
