Package: ftp.debian.org Severity: normal Upstream incorportated functionality in the rand_os crate into the rand_core crate and deprecated the rand_os crate over two years ago. There have been no further releases since the release announcing the deprecation and the crate no longer appears in the master branch of the upstream git repository.
The dependencies and build-dependencies of rust-rand-os are no longer satisfiable with the new version of the rand_core crate that I have just uploaded to Debian. All the former reverse dependencies of the crate in Debian have now moved away from it, so I think it's time for the crate to go. I filed a "should this package be remove" bug a fortnight ago in case any other rust team members had an opinion on the issue and received no responses.
