Package: intel-microcode Version: 3.20220207.1~deb10u1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate *** * What led up to the situation? I have started updating the system via apt-get update and upgrade. New version of intel-microcode was buster/non-free: 3.20220207.1~deb10u1 System booted normally but started to crash/freeze with garbadge screen and did not response to any keyboard combination after starting Firefox browser and let say watching YouTube video. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? I revert back to old package 3.20210608.2~deb10u1 and this bring back the stable state of system. No more crashes or garbadge screen. * What was the outcome of this action? * What outcome did you expect instead? *** End of the template - remove these template lines *** -- System Information: Debian Release: 10.12 APT prefers oldstable APT policy: (500, 'oldstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-20-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=bg_BG.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=bg_BG.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=bg_BG.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages intel-microcode depends on: ii iucode-tool 2.3.1-1 Versions of packages intel-microcode recommends: ii initramfs-tools 0.133+deb10u1 intel-microcode suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
