Could you please fix these fontconfig bugs while you're at it: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=998284 (fontconfig-config: drop the dependency on ttf-bitstream-vera) https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=981577 (prefer dejavu over bitstream vera) https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=961386 (fontconfig-config: prefer dejavu over bitstream vera) Those bugs are about dropping the very obsolete ttf-bitstream-vera font as upstream fontconfig completely removed it from 60-latin.conf [1], and the default became Noto [2][3].
