Thanks for the clarification and information. I support that the 
defaults for the stable distribution should not be changed. In this 
case, it would actually cause chaos because the entire storage would 
have to be reset before changing the storage driver. A change “in the 
middle” would render all active images unusable.

I can only hope that others who have the same problem as me somehow come 
across the correct information.
