Hi, Unless #1026287 "use systemd .timer unit instead of /etc/cron.monthly" got implemented, would it be possible to ship a tiny 2 lines "old-style-mail.conf" drop-in systemd overide that overides how systemd-cron will style the monthly report ? This drop-in would have no effect on Vixie cron or cronie. Greetings, Alexandre PS: this need a not yet released systemd-cron to actually work. $ systemctl cat cron-monthly-check-dfsg-status.service # /run/systemd/generator/cron-monthly-check-dfsg-status.service [Unit] Description=[Cron] /etc/cron.monthly/check-dfsg-status Documentation=man:systemd-crontab-generator(8) SourcePath=/etc/cron.monthly/check-dfsg-status OnFailure=cron-mail@%n:Failure.service OnSuccess=cron-mail@%n:Success:nonempty.service [Service] User=root Type=oneshot IgnoreSIGPIPE=false SyslogFacility=cron KillMode=process ExecStart=/etc/cron.monthly/check-dfsg-status # /usr/lib/systemd/system/cron-monthly-check-dfsg-status.service.d/old-style-mail.conf [Service] Environment=CRON_MAIL_FORMAT=nometadata -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (501, 'testing'), (450, 'unstable'), (400, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 6.6.13-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_USER Locale: LANG=fr_BE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_BE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=fr_BE:fr Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) -- no debconf information
