This would lead to regressions in abiword (charts, assentially, afaik). goffice-0.4 was released to allow abiword and gchemutils use it in their next major versions, gnumeric-1.8 will use goffice-0.6. This is because starting from 0.5 goffice dropped the gnome-print support which is still needed by abiword and gchemutils (essentially abiword, it would be possible to fix in gchemutils, but would inhibit gchempaint files embedding in abiword-2.6). I hope that future releases will solve this need for two goffice versions. Just somebody must write a cairo graphics class for abiword to make that possible, and this will take some times and is not possible for 2.6.0 which should be available soonish.
