Hi, Thanks for your instructions, that solved the case. I had a three years old SQLite-installation which obviously messed things up. I removed all components installed by that old package to avoid any further confusion. After removing the SQLite* files, starting firefox still gives me the error message: # firefox /usr/lib/iceweasel/firefox-bin: Symbol `SSL_ImplementedCiphers' has different size in shared object, consider re-linking # Despite the warning, I can access HTTPS pages. I wonder what is causing the error message and how to get rid of it? Anyway, thanks a lot for your assistance in this issue!
