That's good news, as it means most probably the bug has nothing to do with Large File Support. In either case, I need a way to reproduce the bug. Please try to find a smaller pair of files using the "dd" command. For example, if diff thinks the files are different after reading the first 50Mb of each, then you can cut the files and keep only the first 50Mb of each.
