I'm not sure if the problem i encounter now is the same problem this
bug is about:
The symptom: Mouse-actions hang 5seconds then it is nice again... but
when i move the mouse out of a window again 5seconds nothing.
That's pretty much it. I haven't noticed a correlation with moving out
of a window, though.
I tried the mentioned patch but for me it only made the situation
worse, it hung more often and it uses up a lot of CPU.
Well, there were two patches; the first was not quite right, so he
posted an updated patch.
The updated patch isn't quite right, either, but it fixes the
aforementioned problem. I suspect that we have another race condition,
but going in the opposite direction.

If you build a package from that, it will have Mike's patch, plus some
extra cleanup.
