Dear maintainers,

I am forwarding a bug in the imagemagick that likely affect your distribution.

Imagemagick upstream is quite uncareful about so version bump that
lead to some problem in third party software [1]

The solution we used at debian is to use a special script in order to
get caught removed symbols. Unfortunatly upstream does not split the
symbols between private and public symbols.

We have attempted to report this bug on
http://www.imagemagick.org/discourse-server/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12841
one year ago but progress seems to stall.

Please add your comments on the forum thread in order to help prod upstream.

Regards

bastien
