This bug was reported to qBittorrent official bug tracker too: http://bugs.launchpad.net/qbittorrent/+bug/573121
The people involved in this reported were also Debian Squeeze users. However, it was confirmed that this is not a bug in qBittorrent bug a building/dependency issue (built against wrong libboost version). Rebuilding the package without any changes fixes the issue.
