Package: libmysqlclient-dev Severity: normal mysql_config --cflags outputs the -fno-strict-aliasing flag. As users of this library may not want to use this flag in their projects the headers should be fixed and the flag removed from mysql_config.
The inclusion of the flag seems to be related to mysql being built with -fno-strict-aliasing. Building without it also removes the flag from mysql_config. So it may be the case that it is not required for the headers at all. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
