WHEN DID BEING A DD BECOME A PREREQUISITE FOR MAINTAINING A PACKAGE? The “you're not a DD” blablabla is quite frustrating already, and I can't think of a good reason to (mis|ab|)use it, especially when there's no reasons to. Had you done a bit of research, you'd have found Iulian already maintains some packages within the Debian archive[1].
