No, they were not cleaned up. In particular, the problematic drivers have not been removed from linux-2.6_2.6.18.orig.tar.gz as requested by the RM position statement [0]. My questions [1] and comments [2] on the matter have been consistently ignored, so I guess that Bastian (who has done the last two uploads) is not bothered by that too much.
