I suppose it makes sense to recommend --pedantic if that's what all the
mentors are using, but just to be clear from the Lintian dev
perspective, we're totally okay with people deciding --pedantic is way
too much and not bothering.  My feeling is that there are perfectly
reasonable Debian packages that aren't pedantic-clean (hell, many of my
own aren't), and justifying all the --pedantic tags can be a little
annoying.
