ОС - Lenny AMD64, рабочая среда ГНОМ, необходимые пакеты для работы с
NTFS установлены, другой диск (самсунговский) коннектиться без проблем.
Пытаюсь подключить съемный диск марки Seagate FreeAgent Go 320 GB,
автоматически не монтируется.
Для того, чтобы попытаться смонтировать вручную, произвожу команду ls
-la /dev/disk/by-id - дает данные только по жесткому диску внутреннему и
по флешке, если она подключена.

При следующей попытке подключить, гномооболчка выводит сообщение "Не
удалось подключить том. $LogFile indicates unclean shutdown (0, 0)
Failed to mount '/dev/sdc1': Неподерживаемая операция Mount is denied
because NTFS is marked to be in use. Choose one action: Choice 1: If you
have Windows then disconnect the exterhal devices by clicking on the
Safely Remove Hardware icon in the Windows taskbar then shutdown Windows
cleanly. Choice 2: if you don't have Windows then you can user the force
option for your own responsibility. For example type on the command
line: mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/sdc1 /media/FreeAgent Drive -0 -force. Or
add the option to the relevant row in the /etc/fstab file: dev/sdc
/media/FreeAgent Drive ntfs-3g force 0 0
ls -la /dev/disk/by-id показывает диск уже как sdc/sdc1

Пытаюсь идти по второму пути:
# mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/sdc1 /media/FreeAgent\Drive -o -force
