Moin! ich versuch einer wirklich alten Maschine (486DX33 - wohl nur als SX25 erkannt -, ISA-Bus, 2 HDs), auf der woody.r0 unter dem kernel 2.0.36 läuft, einen neuen selbigen 2.2.20 zu spendieren. Das allerdings funktioniert nicht, der neu gebaute (oder auch aus den fertigen kernel- images in woody ausgewählte 2.2.20-idepci) weigert sich zu booten: An der Stelle, wo beim 2.0.36 "Uncompressing linux..." kommt, passiert außer einem blinkenden Cursor gar nix.

Ich weiß nicht mehr weiter... Liegt's vielleicht doch daran, dass auf der alten Maschine so ein "moderner" 2.2.20-kernel nicht laufen mag? Oder daran, dass ich die Kiste von slink direkt auf woody aufgemotzt habe (mit dselect und apt-get, wie empfohlen) Ich hab auch bereits die kernel-images 2.4.16 bzw 2.4.18 aus woody probiert. Auch nix. Wer weiß Rat?
