My Slink had no /usr/src/linux. /usr/src contained 'kernel-headers-2.0.36/' and 'kernel-source-2.0.36/' I just moved to the "kernel-source-2.0.36/" directory and compiled the kernel. I later unpacked the 2.2.1 kernel expecting it to create a 'linux' directory with link like in Hamm. It didn't. I moved to the 2.2.1 source directory compiled and am now capable of booting two different linux kernels. I have no idea if this is the correct way or what, it just works. hth, kent
