You need APT from potato (can get a slink version at http://www.debian.org/~jgg/apt_0.3.11.1_i386.deb) Then read apt.conf and look in /usr/doc/apt/examples/apt.conf.gz - heading the warning to not copy the conf file directly. I think the example in there is quite close to what wingate uses Jason
