Same problem with gnome-1.0. When ypu are playing mp3's, and
gnome/windowmanager/whoever tries to use sound, it's getting jammed
for waiting to get sound writen to sound driver. Only solution for me
is disable sounds from all programs.
My soundcard is some es1370-based SB.
