I have a problem with my desktop. I was able to have 2 different versions, one was a traditional gnome desktop, the other a hybrid debian desktop (which appears to be default). But when I was running the traditional gnome desktop, which I started by putting [gnome-session] in a .xsession file, it locked up and I used control-alt-backspace to kill X and now it won't start anymore. I know there is a script somewhere that controls this, but I don't know where it is or how to change it.
I believe the reason the desktop locked up was because I put Sawmill into the window managers settings box in gnome. Someone told me this is contolled by a symlink but I can't find where
