resources to resolve dependency problems

Hi,
 
Can someone point me to documentation that could help resolve a
dependency problem?
 
The following packages have unmet dependencies.
  libapache2-mod-php4: Depends: apache2.2-common but it is not installed
  libxine1: Depends: libavcodec0d (>= 0.cvs20060823) but it is not
installed
            Depends: libpostproc0d (>= 0.cvs20060823) but it is not
installed
            Depends: libxvmc1 but it is not installed
