I am writing a small GTK+ StatusIcon application that manages internal touchpads and external mice on laptops. I would like to interface with HAL to detect when a USB mouse in plugged in--is anyone aware of Python HAL bindings or are we just supposed to use python-dbus to talk to HAL?
