This guide wasn't helpful. "modprobe nouveau" outputs nothing and there is no nouveau module in the output of "lsmod." I don't know how to check the versions of libdrm and nouveau DRM. And I have no idea which ones are compatible. Someone told me that I could check it this way: $ grep DRICreatePCIBusID /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libdri* Here is the output: Binary file /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libdri.so matches I don't know how to reinstall the whole system quickly or how to install it harmlessly for the main system.
