Two-cents-worth from Canada:

It's nice being a Canadian because you get a little bit of variety in the propaganda you're exposed to, which lends itself to a more well-rounded brainwashing.  You get to pick what bullshit you are going to believe.

We sympathize for our brothers in the States who don't have this.  If there's a war, you have this thing where all debate is shut down - supposedly to support the troops.

But you are being played.  There was nothing virtuous or honorable about the war in Iraq.  It was a really big guy (the US) picking on a little guy (Iraq).  Whether or not Saddam is an asshole is beside the point.

Anybody who supports Bush on Iraq is asking their leaders to lie.  This thing in Iraq is worse for you than it is for Iraq because you guys - the torch-bearers for freedom and democracy - are selling out that which made you great.  And you would prefer to believe your government's BS than think for yourselves.

It's pretty sad, really.

And the way you permit your President to lie to the entire world (including yourselves) is shameful.  In one day, you threw all the integrity and respect you had out the window - and in the name of blind patriotism you believed the lie.

But I suspect American feelings about their military might are over-rated.  For instance, if they gave a shit, China would kick your ass in a war.

America has become a bully.  And pride comes before a fall.

The usual conspiracy theory from the fusion power lobby.
