Thanks, Darac! That's really helpful. There are some keys on an American keyboard that I simply cannot remember. Must be my age or something. ;-) I am also so scared of GRUB2 that I have so far not dared to do anything with it other than let it run. If I can now demand that it at least uses a keyboard that I do not have to memorise (because I can _see_ it!) I am one stage nearer using it.
