I am currently running Debian 10. sudo lspci|grep VGA 01:05.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] RS780 [Radeon HD 3200]
sudo xrandr Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1440 x 900, maximum 8192 x 8192 VGA-0 connected primary 1440x900+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 408mm x 255mm 1440x900 59.89*+ 74.98 1280x1024 75.02 60.02 1024x768 75.03 70.07 60.00 832x624 74.55 800x600 72.19 75.00 60.32 56.25 640x480 75.00 72.81 66.67 59.94 720x400 70.08 HDMI-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) So I boot the debian 11 live iso from usb and it only offers me three of the lowest resolutions. I think what I need to do is tell the kernel command line to install the radeon driver, or maybe copy an xorg.conf file onto the live root but I cannot find any such file, no file which contains 1440x900. How can I get 1440x900 with the live cd?
