_IMail_ doesn't refuse anything, it just sends back 5xxs for unknowns. This is exactly like the Outlook/OE/Bat client question surfaced on the IMail list, except that full-fledged MTAs submit the messages they can and kick back DSNs for the ones they can't. Think about it: this is why dictionary attacks work; if a single envelope failure always triggered failure of the entire session, we'd be a lot safer, since spammers could _only_ use a stack of verified addresses. --Sandy ------------------------------------ Sanford Whiteman, Chief Technologist Broadleaf Systems, a division of Cypress Integrated Systems, Inc. e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] SpamAssassin plugs into Declude! http://www.mailmage.com/products/software/freeutils/SPAMC32/download/release/ Defuse Dictionary Attacks: Turn Exchange or IMail mailboxes into IMail Aliases! http://www.mailmage.com/products/software/freeutils/exchange2aliases/download/release/ http://www.mailmage.com/products/software/freeutils/ldap2aliases/download/release/ --- [This E-mail was scanned for viruses by Declude Virus (http://www.declude.com)] --- This E-mail came from the Declude.JunkMail mailing list.
