Yes, Embarcadero is developing Delphi steadily. It will soon become the
premier system for developing cross platform apps. Hopefully they will
tackle Linux in a sustainable way soon.

The language is not likely to re-take its previous position in education,
though. Too much tunnel vision and other bias in that sector.
