Under "desktop > gnome > peripherals > keyboard > kbd" I had two entries, "it nodeadkeys" (my correct keyboard) and "us". Removing "us" solved almost of my issues, and now capital letters and shifted characters work ! The only non-working ones are: 6k àà ìì, they should be 6& à° ì^. Also AltGr characters ( [EMAIL PROTECTED] )do not work at all.
