My monitor can't display the startup screen - it hasn't been able to since I put Ubuntu 7.04 on it! My monitor probably can't handle the resolution. So it goes blank and displays a message about the monitor being unable to handle the screen resolution and then loads the login page. This doesn't take long normally, but it seems to hang on this forever since I went to hardy.
I normally have to ctrl-alt-backspace before it loads the login screen. -- Splash screen on bootup takes minutes to disappear https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/29624 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
