Looks like a good addition to the Ubuntu desktop!
Since version 0.7 most likely will be included in Intrepid
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/206463),
the best way to ensure that this is included in future releases would be
to rebase the patch against the 0.7 trunk and submit it upstreams.
Any volunteers?
