Sorry that we could see some frustration building up over the bug's status. As you can see, it has been confirmed, triagged and "in progress", which means you have indeed got some attention over this bug. As bsolar points out, may be it needs to be backported to the existing version in Hardy. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope this issue gets fixed ASAP.
