Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gdm

When I enable automatic the login (in the 'Login window preferences' menu) the
GDM background color should change to match the desktop background color. This
would help make a more slick boot experience.
The default background color in the GDM-login is #DAB082 (I know that it can be
changed in the Login window preferences), most desktop background colors are
not.
I'm reporting this after installing the Ubuntu 8.10 alpha 6
