I too have the same problem. I have attached a screen-shot of what is
happening. Basically, the whatever program is on top, gets pushed behind
the preview. When moving the preview window, it leaves a trail of images
of the preview. The screen just fails to refresh, even hitting F5 at the
desktop to refresh the desktop does not work. The only thing to clear
the extra images is to drag another program over that portion of the
screen. It makes it really hard to choose my power management options
when I can't even see them! I am running Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid. I had the
same problem in 8.04 by the way. My card is a Intel Graphics Media
Accelerator 950.
