this has never worked for me. Started with 8.04 LTS then upgraded to 8.10, then installed 8.10 x86_64. Lenovo Thinkpad R61. I get the warning form gpm that my laptop will be shutdown, but it never shuts down - just dies when power is low. If any logs are required I will provide.
