If you hit ctrl-L while in Nautilus, it adds an address bar to the GUI where
you can type a path in. This is like the address in in Windows Explorer. I
thought it would be a good idea to add an option to enable this bar under
the "view" settings in Nautilus. I accidently figured out how to add the bar
while messing around in the File managment utility. If you use the ctrl-L
shortcut, the bar is only there while you have Nautilus up. When you enable
it in the File managment utility, it stays there permanently. Hope I was
able to explain it correctly ;) Anyway, Dennis Kaarsemaker responded and
said that it was a native feature of Gnome 2.15 and that it would be in
Edgy.
