Public bug reported: E.g. when choosing Western ISO-8859-1 and then removing the default Unicode UTF-8, sometimes GNOME Terminal crashes (bringing with it all apps that have been started from within the terminal).
This bug also existed in 8.10; I am currently running 9.04. The bug is not consistent -- usually it happens if the terminal has been running for a while with UTF-8 and I remember to change to 8859-1 and then remember that I want to actually remove UTF-8 as a choice (I still haven't managed :-). t...@t61p:~$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 9.04 Release: 9.04 t...@t61p:~$ uname -a Linux t61p 2.6.28-11-generic #42-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 17 01:58:03 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux /TB ** Affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Terminal crashes when UTF-8 is removed as character encoding https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/373136 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
