Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ekiga

Description of our tests of Ekiga registered to Cisco CM:

+ Test PC is connected to corporate Intranet by Ethernet, all codecs activated
+ Ekiga says to be successfully registered with Cisco CM.
+ Incoming call from landline: weak ringing, when picking up ekiga process goes
to 100% core load, no communication possible, ekiga crashed/does not respond.
"killall ekiga" required. network reconnect necessary to continue test.
+ outgoing call to GSM success, 65% core load (all codecs activated)
+ outgoing call to external landline fails completely
+ outgoing call to internal line success 70% core load
+ incoming call from internal line crash as from external line
+ killall ekiga, reconnect network
+ repeat all tests with other SIP client for comparison
+ outgoing call to PL landline success at 20-25 % core load (client+pulseaudio)
+ incoming call from PL landline success at 20-25% core load (client+pulseaudio)
+ outgoing call to PL GSM success at 20-25% core load (client + pulseaudio)
+ incoming call from PL GSM success at 20-25% core load (client + pulseaudio)
+ outgoing internal call success at 20-25% core load (client + pulseaudio),
receiving side: same client on ub09.10 @ Cisco CM, 40% core load (client +
