Description of our tests of Ekiga registered to Cisco CM: + Test PC is connected to corporate Intranet by Ethernet, all codecs activated + Ekiga says to be successfully registered with Cisco CM. + Incoming call from landline: weak ringing, when picking up ekiga process goes to 100% core load, no communication possible, ekiga crashed/does not respond. "killall ekiga" required. network reconnect necessary to continue test. + outgoing call to GSM success, 65% core load (all codecs activated) + outgoing call to external landline fails completely + outgoing call to internal line success 70% core load + incoming call from internal line crash as from external line + killall ekiga, reconnect network + repeat all tests with other SIP client for comparison + outgoing call to PL landline success at 20-25 % core load (client+pulseaudio) + incoming call from PL landline success at 20-25% core load (client+pulseaudio) + outgoing call to PL GSM success at 20-25% core load (client + pulseaudio) + incoming call from PL GSM success at 20-25% core load (client + pulseaudio) + outgoing internal call success at 20-25% core load (client + pulseaudio), receiving side: same client on ub09.10 @ Cisco CM, 40% core load (client + pulseaudio) + incoming internal call success, same measures as outgoing.
