I renamed the ~/.control/pulse folder to recreate the pulseaudio settings. The only thing that this has resolved is being able to use my usb device as an input device.
Otherwise the issue is the same. In relation to that link, is there anything that I can do with that information to add to a file and fix my issue? Thanks Here is my system log as of tonight. 25/07/13 10:31:45 PM paul-System-Product-Name pulseaudio[1593] [pulseaudio] sink.c: Default and alternate sample rates are the same. 25/07/13 10:31:45 PM paul-System-Product-Name pulseaudio[1593] [alsa-sink] alsa-sink.c: ALSA woke us up to write new data to the device, but there was actually nothing to write! 25/07/13 10:31:45 PM paul-System-Product-Name pulseaudio[1593] [alsa-sink] alsa-sink.c: Most likely this is a bug in the ALSA driver 'snd_emu10k1'.
