Hi Ross,

I am following your footsteps on the ivy branch. Like Gavin I am new and
still understanding. The above files are the ones you mentioned on the
list earlier as being possible candidates to be moved to ivy directly,
right?
Yes, they are. They are based on a partial tutorial on the Ivy site.
I've expanded them a fair bit and used them in a few production
projects. Those projects were written with these build files in mind
though.

Not sure if they are truly useful in a wider context or not. I was
hoping that using them here with more eyes on them may help refine them.

Good idea, just a quickie :-

In common-webapp we have :-

        <property name="serveltEngine.webapp.dir" location="C:\\Program
Files\\Apache Software Foundation\\Tomcat 5.5\\webapps" />

Will Tomcat be bundled or will Tomcat x.x be an artefact that Ivy will
Download. I have Tomcat Version 6 on my system which works well.

No that's just me being lazy in the project I created these files for. Everything needs to be generalised to make them truly useful. I've not even looked at these build files with respect to Forrest yet. I'm trying to find the time to migrate all the jars over to ivy first.

For Forrest we would use the jetty distribution we already use.
