Hey all.
Just to get some things out of the way, you cannot update Gaia on the
ZTE open unless you have rooted it. And I would say that doing it
(updating Gaia, that is) will void your warrant :).
That out of the way, and assuming you have rooted it, you cannot get the
phone's installed Gaia anywhere online (not at of it, anyway), amongst
other things since it includes some commercial apps. You can, though, do
a backup of the phone apps (again, if you have rooted the phone). To do
so you have to copy (I was going to copy the concrete instructions, but
if you don't know how to do that there's a good chance you'll brick your
phone, so it's better to stop now ;) ):
* stop b2g (on adb, as root, execute stop b2g)
* Copy the /system/b2g/webapps directory
* Copy the /data/local/webapps directory (you'll need root access to do
this!)
* Copy the /data/b2g directory (again, you'll need root access to do this)
* restart b2g
And that's all. When you want to recover factory's Gaia, just restore
the directories you previously backed up (remember to stop b2g before!).
