hi there I'm trying to perform a mailmerge using macro but I get problems on some machines..
Basically what the mailmerge do is the following 1: load the merge document 2: extract data from some user variables 3: create a csv file based on these data 4: create a new odb instance and link it to this data 5: save,register and close the odb file 6: change the mailmerge fields in the document to link to the new database 7: initialise the mailmerge service 8: execute the mailmerge when I run this using OpenSuse OOo 2.0.4 on OpenSuse 10.1 all works OK running it in OOo 2.1 on the same machine, works OK running it in OOo 2.2 on a windows XP works OK running it in OOo 2.0.4 on a Windows terminal server, NOT ok the problem I have is that the mailmerge fields do not get merged.-( in the resulting document I get this <FIELD1> <FIELD2>, etc as text in the document not the name/address that It was supposed to insert. The strange thing is that IF there are 6 lines in the DB I get 6 pages with none of the fields merged (and as I say this works in other enviroments) they have tried with an other version of OOo (not sure which version) and the same provblem happens.. any clues on where I should start searching? -- Christian Andersson - [EMAIL PROTECTED] Configuration and Collaboration for OpenOffice.org Open Framework Systems AS http://www.ofs.no
