In case we are dealin gwith the same problem I solved it by changing the
locationmap entry to:
<match pattern="project.index.xml">
<location src="cocoon://{project:daisy.navigation.docID}.daisy.xml" />
</match>
(note this uses the new properties functionlaity so that plugins can define
sitemap/locationmap properties)
