Absolutely! The Geronimo standalone servers still supply a Geronimo
thread pool to the work manager, but now third parties can make the
same demands on our code (i.e., they want to use their own pools).
For example, in the Jencks project we simply supply new PooledExecutor
(threadPoolSize).
