FYI... soon we will have our automated build system deploying
nightly, as well as on demand.
This will help reduce issues caused by deployment w/bad umasks and a
few other issues (like accidentally using the wrong jdk,
accidentially deploying uncommitted changes, etc).

That guide isn't too specific. Do you have a server entry similar to:
<server>
<id>apache.snapshots</id>
<username>djencks</username>
<passphrase>*******</passphrase>
<directoryPermissions>775</directoryPermissions>
<filePermissions>664</filePermissions>
</server>
Also before uploading please be sure that umask on
people.apache.org is set to 2, not any otherwise normal value such
as 22, or no one will be able to update anything you deploy. If
it's not already 2 you will need to update a file, I
think .bash_profile so that non-shells get it set properly. Kevan
and probably lots of other people know the actual file.
If this doesn't help.... what's the error you get?

Paul,
I can offer an antique fruitcake..., if you could publish the
management 1.1 specs. I am trying to figure out why my mvn deploy did
not go through. Without the SNAPSHOTs, the build is broken :(.
Thanks
Anita
Got some help on irc (thanks djencks). Just add the server to
~/.m2/settings.xml as described here
http://maven.apache.org/settings.html and then type "mvn deploy".
Best wishes,
Paul

I created two new modules in specs/trunk:
geronimo-el_1.0_spec
geronimo-jsp_2.1_spec
Can someone help publish those to the snapshot repo? I have a nice
fruit cake I can regift if necessary (it's from last Christmas but
still looks exactly the same). Or I don't mind doing this
myself if
someone can point me in the right direction.
Best wishes,
Paul
