Why do you need to wait for continuum for this? Why not simply
deploy the snaps by hand so we can start to consume them now from the
std repo?

The G PMC is currently working out what the policy is for access
to G-
TCK resources for non-G commiters (who have signed the ASF NDA),
hopefully will have a resolution on this soonish ;-)
